Trace Heritage and Restoration completed specialist truss repairs at St Ignatius Church in Salford, including ornate splice repairs and timber member replacement to match the original structure.
The church roof structure included ornate timber trusses that required careful repair without losing their original form and detail. Standard replacement would have risked damaging the historic character of the structure.

Trace repaired the trusses using sympathetic methods designed to retain and replicate the original structure. Ornate splice repairs were used where appropriate, allowing sections of timber to be renewed while preserving the overall appearance of the truss.

Trace repaired and reinforced the historic timber roof structure at Ashton Old Baths. The works covered trusses, purlins, joists and beams, combining traditional splice repairs with resin techniques and metal plate reinforcement.
